Stone Slab..jpg
A relic from the previous Kirk. An old photograph of the old Kirk shows some sort of plaque outside above the east window which could be this plaque. The old Kirk had a "loft" gallery for the Tweedies of Oliver. Other churches which have galleries for the local notable family usually have an ornate armorial on the wall at the rear of the gallery and this plaque could be such a device but on the exterior.
