TWEEDSMUIR PARISH HISTORY.
Talla Railway
Kingledores Burn Bridge.
The red sandstone bridge carried the Talla railway over the Kingledores Burn just a couple of metres from where the burn joined the River Tweed.
The present A701 has been built on top of the rail bed shown between Kingledores and Patervan. This is one of the several sections of the railway that is unavailable for a walkway/cycle track.(1)
The red sandstone footings of the bridge can still be seen.
